As you can see, its quite easy to add signatures to Outlook 2010 or 2013. I am using Windows 7 and have recently installed Office 2013.

Create a self cert – I called mine “Self Cert” (generated from here in Office 2013 - C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\SELFCERT.EXE). Having come across this just now, this is how I ultimately solved it (none of the other suggestions worked for me):
